It's strawberry season here in North Carolina, and I think the sweet treat above looks particularly tasty. Chocolate-covered strawberries are a very familiar sight, of course, but I have never seen them dipped in meringue and then torched or put under the broiler (I'm assuming that's how this effect was achieved). I think the result is berry pretty indeed, and wouldn't they be lovely for Valentine's Day?
The cookie-and-whipped-cream-sandwiches above also look tasty, though I think ice cream would be even yummier ☺.
