The summer snack of the moment is a simple yet radical phenomenon called...
ICE CREAM BREAD

Yep, as its name suggests, it is indeed bread that is made with ice cream.
And flour.
And...well, no other ingredients are required!

I plan to try making this bread in all 31 flavors.
Here is the recipe--it's so simple, it gives me chills (lol).

Makes one 8 x 4 loaf:

2 Cups Ice Cream (any flavor, softened)
1 1/2 cups Self-Rising Flour

Preheat your polka-dotted oven (well it is, isn't it?) to 350. Spray and flour a loaf pan (preferably a floral-patterned one) or line it with parchment paper. Mix the ice cream and flour together (with a spiffy striped spoon) until just combined and put it in said pan. Bake that tasty loaf for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick (or a pink twisty straw) comes out with a few crumbs stuck to it.  Let it cool down a bit folks, and then, well, dig in!

*As a substitute for self-rising flour, put 2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a measuring cup. Add all-purpose flour to measure 1 1/2 cups.

*You can also include mix-ins (such as fruit, chocolate chips, and Laffy Taffy), though doing so might increase the cooking time by about 5 minutes or so.

Here is a huffpost article about this bread, and here is one more.

Below is a sweet (lol) instructional video ☺.
