~SIPPING MY WAY TO SUMMER





My late maternal grandmother was a consummate Southern cook who shelled her own butterbeans, shucked her own corn, and made scrumptious comfort foods for her family and friends to enjoy.  She also made delicious sweet tea to wash it all down with.  

I'm not sure exactly how much sugar she put in her tea, but I think 1/4 cup + 1/8 cup per quart is perfect-o!  

In addition, I use decaf tea bags, and I think the resulting beverage tastes exactly the same as the caffeinated version.  I like the fact that the process that's used to remove the caffeine from the Lipton tea I linked to preserves its healthy flavanoids; I've read that some decaffeination processes destroy them.
