~FASHION INSPIRATION FOR THE DAY

Antonio Marras' delightful duds are a nice addition to this season's collections.

From his Fall 2013 RTW Collection...

Ohhhh, this sweater is lovely
 #cozy  #colorful ☺...

Here is a photo of this look from an editorial in this month's issue of Vogue Japan (you can view more photos from the editorial in this post)...

Everyone needs at least one pair of red shoes.
Why is it that I don't have any, then?
Must rectify that situation, some way, somehow...

Here is a video of the runway show...

From the 2014 Resort Collection
(love Antonio's whimsical collages)...

Such a wearable and flattering dress,
and the petite floral pattern with a background of black suits me just fine...

Adorable jacket!
The cerulean lace adds such a nice touch...

Oh, my word, gimme' this wrapper too!  I think the brassiere should be worn only underneath one's clothes though...

From the Spring 2014 RTW Collection...

The dresses that feature figural illustrations remind me of the Kate Spade totes that had Maira Kalman's
line drawings on them (yep, that was a looong time ago).  They are so fetching...

The skirt portion of this dress is stunning.  I generally don't care for see-through garments, so the visible belly isn't something to cheer about. I think the black boy-shorts were a pretty tasteful thing to put under the skirt (as opposed to something skimpier).  This isn't something, say, a teenager would likely be wearing out on the town anyway...

Here is a video of the show...

And here is a video in which Antonio discusses the collection and explains his creative process...

"Detour is a small piece of the Moleskine journey, where interlacing stories merge. Curated by Raffaella Guidobono, this travelling group show features notebook creations by internationally recognized artists, architects, film directors, graphic designers, illustrators, and writers. Some works contain extensive stories; others are turned into pieces of contemporary art and design."

Antonio participated in this interesting endeavor.
Here is a sneak-peek of the contents of his notebook...

...and here is a video which presents the notebook in its entirety...

☺ Interestingly enough, Maira Kalman also participated in the project ☺
