~THREE CHEERS FOR THIS ICY TREAT!

A few nights ago, I moseyed over to a local grocery store to buy a few things, including a jar of my favorite pasta sauce and a few cans of cat food.  As I was walking down the aisles, it suddenly occurred to me that some popsicles would taste oh-so-delicious.  I zeroed in on the fruity-types and noticed that a big ol' box of banana twin-pops was on sale for under $2.  I put it in my cart, but not before catching sight of what was right next to it on the freezer shelf: Cheerwine ice cream bars!  Let's just say that I decided to buy two boxes of pops that night.

I haven't had Cheerwine in ages for a couple of reasons.  For one thing, I don't usually see it in the stores, though maybe it's there, and I'm not noticing it.  But the main reason is that I don't like to drink caffeinated soda.  Luckily, these pops are made with Cheerwine flavor, not the actual soda, so they do not contain caffeine.

I think they're very tasty, and are great for people who like the orange creamsicle concept, yet want to mix it up a little.

I say dig in--but not so fast that you get brain freeze! ☺

If you would like to find out how Cheerwine got its name, read the second paragraph of the "Overview and History" section of this wikipedia article.

*The Cheerwine pops are Food Lion brand, so I would assume they are not sold in other supermarkets!

By the by, Ginger Huckleberry was very pleased with his snacks.  Don't eat it all at once Ginger!
