~LOVELY NUPTIALS, SPARKLE AND FUN

This past October, my little sister, Meg, was married to her sweetheart, Stephen.  I thought I should most definitely share some of the photos from their enchanting outdoor wedding, which was held at The Sutherland in Wake Forest, NC.  All unmarked photos were taken by S2S Photography.

Meg with the mother of the bride.
*Goodness, the person who did my mom's makeup used way too heavy of a hand.  I just say so because my mom's day-to-day look is natural, and she is so cute and doesn't need all of that extra stuff ;)

Pretty floral heels to walk down the aisle in...

As the wedding party came down the aisle, the bride and groom chose this song to be played...

The little flower girls looked like forest fairies--how cute!!  They are the nieces of the groom, and they were kind enough to scatter red rose petals to announce the bride...

These little sweeties were adorned in necklaces made by yours truly.  I crafted them with cream-colored Swarovski pearls and baroque, aurora borealis Swarovski crystals...

My sweet nephew was an excellent ring-bearer...

Aaaaand, there she was!

What perfect weather for an outdoor ceremony on the green...

Hooray!  Husband and wife!
Way to work those beautiful red roses into the boutonnière and bouquet guys!

Here I am watching Meg and Steve make their way back down the aisle, followed by my dad.

While they did so, this song was played (Elvis, you're always welcome at my family events)...

Then it was time for the reception!
Celebrate!...

Everything was coming up roses on the The Sutherland's grounds...

The mother and father of the groom...

Guests chatting and mingling...

Beautiful crystal chandeliers hung from a stately Southern oak tree...

Mom worked with a local florist to make sure there were plenty of beautiful arrangements for Meg's special day (see the flower photo at the beginning of the post as well)...

It was time to cut a rug!  The band did a smashing good job!

Meg and some of the guests performed a traditional Polish wedding dance which Steve's family taught her.  The men took turns swinging her around in a very entertaining fashion, and this went on for quite some time--I'm glad Meg is in good shape!  The women waved hankies in the air to spur them on.  Lastly, the onlookers locked arms and formed a tight ring around her, and the groom had to try and find a weak spot in the wreath so he could break into the circle and be united with his bride!...

My uncle, cousins, and I...

The food was catered by The Irregardless Cafe, and it was delish.  Guests enjoyed assorted beef, seafood, pasta, and salad delights.  Meg's scrumptious wedding cakes were homemade by a family friend...

All in all, the evening went very smoothly and was an enjoyable time for all.

Congratulations Meg and Stephen!
